Block Island Workshops

Block Island is one of the best kept secrets in New England! This beautiful island, just off the coast of Rhode Island, features 17 miles of pristine beaches, gorgeous scenery and great paddling!

Join The Kayak Centre on the Block for a few days of kayak instruction. Our meeting place and venue will be the rustic Narragansett Inn on Block Island which is located steps from the water.

2 & 3 Day Fast Track Workshops

Our Fast Track Workshops are ideal for athletic beginners who really want to push themselves a bit or experienced paddlers who are looking to refresh their skills and work on some additional technique. The content of the two day workshop will be our Oceanplay 2 and 3 programs combined with a day trip along the rugged Block Island coastline. Take your paddling to whole new level with an additional day on the water with us, which includes a long open ocean paddle with a beach landing.

Cost: $325 (two-day), $475 (three-day)

2 Day Women's Workshop

Our Women's Workshop is terrific way for women to further discover paddling and improve their skills while leaving stress and busy schedules behind. This two-day program is taught by women, for women and combines aspects of Oceanplay 1, 2 and 3 in a fun, and supportive learning environment. Over the years, many participants have enjoyed the quality of this workshop and setting so much that they have returned for a second or third time.

Cost: $325

• Two and three-day workshops include equipment, instruction, and lunch daily as well as a group dinner following the first day of paddling.
• If you can only join us for the day, you're welcome to book for the first day of the workshop for $150 (includes equipment, instruction and lunch).
• If you do not have lodging on the island, a group of rooms will be held at the Narragansett Inn up until two weeks before the event.
